About Us

Welcome to diymyride.com!

Here, we’d like to create a collection of DIY (or do-it-yourself) information about doing stuff with your cars, from fixes to customization. No, it’s not our mission to get mechanics out of the job, but we’d all like to share with everyone how fun it is to be greasy and dirty while working on your car and afterwards relishing the result. There’s nothing like a job well done (especially if you did it yourself), don’t you think?

As a DISCLAIMER, we don’t claim to be gurus, or omniscient, know-it-all beings when it comes to cars and auto technology. We’re just regular folks who like to have fun tinkering with cars and take a hands-on approach with doing stuff on our beloved four-wheel babies—whether it be repair, maintenance or customization. That is to say, whatever injury, damage, and loss that you might incur, or incurred from information provided on this site is not, and will not, be our responsibility.

It’s not that we’d provide harmful or detrimental info to you guys, but we just have to cover our own you-know-what.

Since we’re not the exactly the Oracle of automobiles, we also include in this site DIY information from other sites in the web. We aim to have an extensive collection, or library, if you will, of DIY information and articles that tackles the whole gamut of car DIY topics. Basically, we’d like to do the searching, editing, verifying and simplifying of the instructions for you. Of course, we do give recognition where recognition is due; we’ll ensure that sources of these information are acknowledged.

For those who’re going to work on their cars for the first time, please take the time to check out our Getting Started section.

We’d also categorized the site into different sections. We have something for repairs, for customization and for speed and performance. We might need some help with some of these subjects, so we’d appreciate your input.

So if you have some things that you’d like to share with us, feel free to email us at diymyride@gmail.com or diymyride@yahoo.com. Also, we invite everyone to comment on our posts or contact us if there’s something we’re doing right, wrong or so-so; we’d love to hear from you. Again, we’re not auto tech gods. We’re just mere mortals who like to play with our wrenches and cars. So please correct us if we’re wrong, and do worship us if we’re right.

So, please enjoy our site and get down and dirty with your cars.

Regards,

The Diymyride Team
